- PARMA -- For $90, golfers in a tournament arranged by a Parma police officer got quite the deal -- 18 holes of golf, a steak dinner and all the booze they could guzzle. For a little extra, they could even bury their heads in the bare chests of beautiful women.
Perhaps most amazingly, the 144 golfers at the Labor Day weekend event could write the whole thing off as a tax-deductible contribution to a charity.
The tournament, arranged by Parma Police Sgt. Tom Siedlecki, benefited the Ohio Law Enforcement Softball Association.
In an exclusive hidden-camera investigation, Channel 3 News found women straddling golfers -- many off-duty police officers from various local departments -- at Hole 6 on the Ridgewood Golf Course, so they could pour liquor directly into the golfer's open mouths.
If the golfers chipped in some green, the women performed lap dances or allowed the golfers to bury their heads in the women's bare chest.
In some cases, the women handled the men's private parts.
One golfer told us that his foursome drank so much last year that they had to stop golfing after 12 holes.
Parma Mayor Dean DePiero said he was concerned by activities at the course, which is just a chip shot away from City Hall.
"It shouldn't be occurring at a city course or in the public domain at all," DePiero said.
Geauga County Prosecutor David Joyce, who has examined similar activity at other golf courses, said it may be illegal.
"The actual touching is a crime, but it's enhanced by the fact one pays money to do that as well," Joyce said.
Ridgewood's acting manager was visibly upset when shown the hidden-camera videotape.
"I would rather not look at this because I don't like it," she said.
Neither did residents whose homes and condominiums border many of the holes.
"My daughter is a police officer," said John Marts. "She wouldn't condone that kind of thing. I certainly don't either."
